Objective
The goal of AksharBharati was to create an inspiring and visually engaging book that introduces readers to the richness of Indian scripts while seamlessly blending diverse artistic styles into a cohesive format. The book serves as both an educational resource and a source of inspiration for calligraphy artists, designers, and typography enthusiasts.
Approach
The primary challenge was harmonizing the varied works of multiple artists, each with their unique style, into a unified and immersive visual experience. A well-structured layout and typographic hierarchy ensured consistency while maintaining artistic expression. Organic strokes were used as design elements to enhance fluidity and visual rhythm.
Various design principles were applied to balance aesthetics and readability. The book’s size was thoughtfully chosen to be handy and serve as a quick reference. To enhance the book’s appeal, refined printing techniques were used, including gold foiling on the cover strokes for maximum impact.
